TURKISH CUİSİNE

     

    Turkish cuisine is heritage of Ottoman cuisine.Also it includes Middle East and Balkan cuisines.

Breakfast
         Breakfast is the most important meal for Turks. A typical Turkish breakfast includes different types of cheese,butter,olives,eggs,cucumbers,tomatoes,jam and honey. Turk’s speciality is called Menemen, it prepares with green pepper,cheese,tomatoes and eggs. These are served with Turkish tea.


Soups

A typical Turkish meal starts with soup(absolutely dinner). The most popular soups are mercimek and tarhana.




Meat dishes
   
    Meat dishes are important for Turkish people. Turks love meat. Popular meat dishes are kebab,lahmacun,iskender and meatball.




Vegetable food
       
  Dolma,sarma and meat dish with vegetable are popular.








Salads
   
 Turkish salads have wide area but the most popular one is Mediterranean Salad. Usually it made for dinner. It has cucumbers,tomatoes,lettuce and lemon. Maybe it can include white cheese, corn and olives.




Drinks
         Turks like cola,soda,fanta like other people from different cultures but of course there are traditional Turkish drinks. For example ayran,Turkish coffee and boza. Ayran is made from yogurt.






Desserts

     
Turkish desserts are very popular. It is very rich. The most popular dessert is baklava. It is made from hazelnut,walnut or pistachios. Between doughs, put one of them and cook. It is simply that but actually it is hard to do. It needs to experience who wants to do. Everyone can’t do it. Other popular Turkish desserts are şöbiyet,Burma,kadayıf and sütlaç.
